Dubbo Regional Council is a professional and dynamic staff cohort of over 600 people with passion for delivering whole of community outcomes. We are a unique organisation managing a diverse portfolio spanning key council related infrastructure for residential development, growth and servicing through to tourism operations and cultural facilities, and social support operations. The Dubbo Regional Council LGA was gazetted in 2016 following the amalgamation of Dubbo City and Wellington Councils. The LGA covers 7,900 square kilometres in the heart of Central NSW, responsible for assets valued at $3.2 billion and an annual operating budget of some $240 million.

Works of Council are strategically aligned to community needs through the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework. Dubbo Regional Council’s Community Strategic Plan identifies the vision for the future and the strategic actions through an all of council approach, on how they can be achieved. Relationships central to everything we do. As the organisation of Council we have an important role to play in advocating for and partnering with other stakeholders across community, industry, private business and the multi-layers of government to achieve the best outcomes for the Dubbo Region.

Dubbo Regional Council fosters and supports an engaged employee culture with frameworks in place for staff development and formal learning, workplace and leave flexibility for a positive work life balance and progressive leadership at all levels of the organisation.
