COUNCIL CELEBRATES REGION’S YOUNG PEOPLE

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) prepares to celebrate Youth Week 2024, with exciting events happening in Dubbo and Wellington for young people aged between 12 – 24 years old.

Youth Week 2024 will be celebrated between 11 – 21 April 2024, with this year’s theme being Express. Empower. Get loud!

Council’s Youth Development Officer Charmaine Mara said Youth Week 2024 allows the community to celebrate the contributions all our young people make to the region.

“Our young people play a vital role in the community.”

“They help contribute to our great region, and we want to celebrate that. We’d love to see all our young people at one, or all, of the events that are happening,” Ms Mara said.

Dubbo Regional Council’s Youth Council have played an integral part in organising the events for Youth Week this year, working with staff to make sure there is something for everyone during the week.

“The Youth Council assisted in the planning and coordination of the Youth Week Events, and we can’t thank them enough,” Ms Mara said.
