FLOOD UPDATE - DUBBO REGION - 8 OCT 5:10PM

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) has been working closely with SES, NSW Police and Transport for NSW (TfNSW) preparing measures in the event the Emile Serisier Bridge will have to be closed.  This closure will only take place when the depth of the water overtopping the deck of the bridge becomes too dangerous to drive through.

In the event the Emile Serisier Bridge does close, additional traffic management will be put into place.

If the Emile Serisier Bridge is closed, in an effort to ease congestion and accommodate the significant increase in heavy vehicle movements through the city, there will be changed traffic conditions, including along Cobra Street.

Bligh Street, from Macquarie to Bultje Street is closed, including South Street and Sandy Beach Road. Any commuters that have parked their vehicles in other sections of Bligh Street should move them as a precaution.

All unsealed road in the Local Government Area are closed with access for local residents in passenger vehicles under 3.5 ton only.

A number of roads across the Local Government Area are being monitored, and may close, due to increased water levels. Stay informed using dubbo.nsw.gov.au/floods and livetraffic.com
