STORM WATER AND WATER MAIN UPGRADE SOUTH DUBBO

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) wishes to advise motorists within South Dubbo of traffic changes to facilitate upgrades to the storm water and water supply system. Traffic will be impacted from Monday 12 September 2022.

Changes will include:

  1. Jubilee Street will be reduced to a one way traffic flow from Goode Street through to Tamworth Street

  2. Tamworth/Jubilee intersection to traffic to allow for the excavation of the old stormwater and water main infrastructure and installation of new assets

  3. From the 20 September, closing eastbound traffic from Taylor Street to Sterling Street

Other peripheral closures will take place within the area and motorists are asked to be vigilant and drive to conditions.

The traffic control for the project is planned in four stages with the intent to minimise the impact on businesses, residents and reduce the effect on thoroughfare as much as possible. Please note that the disruption will be along the road and footpath footprint.

Council aims to minimise this disruption and wishes to note that the footpaths and pedestrian access to businesses will remain open over the course of this project.

Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the work which is expected to take 7 weeks weather permitting.
