COMMUNITY GRANTS RECEIVE FUNDING BOOST
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) has allocated an additional $40,000 in funding for an extra round of its popular SPARC Support Grant and Community Events funding streams.
This provides an increase to the overall financial assistance available to community groups that are delivering relevant projects and events.
With another round opening on Monday, 5 May, there will an additional $20,000 for the SPARC Support Grants, with a total of $30,000 available for the third round and an additional $20,000 for the second round of the Community Events Fund.
These additional funds will be available for allocation to events and projects that are held or completed between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2026.
DRC Mayor Josh Black said the additional funding will be of great benefit to the Dubbo Region community.
“One of the reasons that our region thrives is due to the passionate people and community groups that deliver essential projects and events for all residents.
“This funding boost will ensure these community organisations can continue to deliver for their community,” Clr Black said.
The SPARC Support Grant Fund assists groups deliver projects that develop the region’s arts and culture and is guided by the SPARC Cultural Plan.
The Community Events Fund supports locally organised events that deliver social and cultural benefits, creating social connections and improving the liveability and well-being of residents.

Applications must be submitted through SmartyGrants and open on Monday 5 May, 2025 and close on Friday 30 May, 2025.
