REHABILITATION OF THERESA MALIPHANT PARK
Dubbo Regional Council will install sandstone block barriers at the Theresa Maliphant Park near the Dubbo Base Hospital. The sandstone blocks will be installed at key locations along the edge of the park to prevent access and allow the grass to recover.
During the redevelopment of the Dubbo Base Hospital car parking was reduced and the park was informally used for parking. The grass surface and irrigation at the Theresa Maliphant Park has been damaged as a result and the site now becomes muddy and slippery after rain, or irrigation.
Dubbo Base Hospital now has almost 1000 parking spaces available across the site and the area on the grass is no longer required for parking.
