TEAMSTERS PARK UPGRADED FOR SUMMER FUN
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) has officially completed works on major upgrades to Teamsters Park, Montefiores.
The upgrades include the renewal of one tennis court and conversion of the other court into a multisport surface.
In addition, a full replacement of the playground equipment was installed, including new elements that will cater to a broader range of children, as well as a new perimeter fence.
DRC Mayor Josh Black said the upgrade to Teamsters Park will ensure the community has fit-for-purpose equipment long into the future.
“The new upgrades at Teamsters Park will serve the community well.
“With summer right around the corner, residents will be able to make good use of the new courts and enjoy family time at the fantastic new playground.
“I’d like to thank the NSW Government for funding this vital community project,” Clr Black said.
The Teamsters Park upgrade was delivered in consultation with residents in Montefiores.
A public meeting was held at the park in 2020 in which 40 residents provided input into the future of the park. This feedback was utilised to inform the grant application to the NSW Government.
The upgrade was costed at $521,059 and was funded by the NSW Government’s Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.
