The Royal Visit - Thank You
Council wishes to thank everyone who braved the elements to see Their Royal Highnesses at Dubbo’s Picnic In The Park on Wednesday October 17.
It was a momentous occasion, with thousands turning out to catch a glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Victoria Park.
After arriving at Dubbo Regional Airport, The Duke and Duchess visited the Royal Flying Doctor Service where they unveiled and named a new plane.
After leaving Dubbo Regional Airport, Their Royal Highnesses headed to a property in Wongarbon to meet a rural family and see first-hand the hardships local farmers have been facing during the drought.
Their Royal Highnesses then travelled to Victoria Park to join people from Dubbo and surrounding areas at The Picnic In The Park to celebrate community spirit within the region.
It was at Dubbo's Picnic In The Park, where His Royal Highness addressed the crowd gathered. Watch his address below.
From there it was off to Dubbo College Senior Campus where Prince Harry and Meghan met with members of the Dubbo South Clontarf Academy, before flying out of Dubbo at around 3pm.
Once again, a huge thanks to the community and everyone involved in making this such an historic event for the Dubbo Region.
