14 Jul 2025   SANDY BEACH AMENITIES CLOSED FOR MAINTENANCE
The amenities block at Sandy Beach will be closed for maintenance from 14 July until 18 July, weather permitting.

14 Jul 2025   FUNDING SECURED FOR DUKE OF WELLINGTON BRIDGE
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) has been successful in securing almost $12 million for the repair of the approach and stabilisation of the riverbank on the Gobolion Street side of the Duke of Wellington bridge thanks to joint funding from the Australian Government and NSW Government, through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements.

Councillors met at 5.30pm on 8 July 2025 for the meetings of the Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) Standing Committees. Outcomes from the Standing Committees will be taken to the Ordinary Council meeting on 22 July 2025 for consideration and adoption.

Dubbo Regional Council is creating a listing of war memorials in the Local Government Area (LGA) and are calling for the community to identify any memorials that are present in the community that may not be publicly identified.

Breanna Pilon, Childcare Assistant at Rainbow Cottage Childcare Centre has been named the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year at the 2025 Western Region NSW Training Awards.

3 Jul 2025   PARTNERSHIP SEES LANDMARK DEVELOPMENT BEGINS AT ZOO
Construction is now underway on the most ambitious development in Taronga Western Plains Zoo’s history, the Serengeti Resort in Dubbo. The development has received $20 million investment from the NSw Government and been made possible through a partnership between Dubbo Regional Council and Taronga Western Plains Zoo.

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) is getting behind the plastic free movement and encouraging members of the community to get involved in Plastic Free July this year, while also turning their attention to what they can do all year round. DRC Mayor Josh Black said the month is an important one for our environment.
